Easy to reach
To many, Northwestern British Columbia represents a part of the world that is rugged, magical, and somewhat untouched. While the Northwest certainly does boast some of the most spectacular natural settings in the world, amazingly, it can also be very easily accessed by car or RV.
With a number of convenient entry points, there are many ways to access Northwest BC. Continue North along Highway 16 from Prince George to Smithers, travel South on Highway 37 from the Yukon border to Stewart/Hyder, or drive onto the ferry in Alaska or Port Hardy and head to Prince Rupert.
As you continue your circle tour through the region, you will discover that Northwest British Columbia features modern highways and roads that are easy to navigate. The routes connecting the communities are well maintained, traffic is minimal, and frequent rest stops and service centres provide peace of mind to road travelers.
Scenic Viewpoints can be found often and it is recommended that you take advantage of the many opportunities to get out, stretch your legs, and take the perfect picture, all from the safety of a designated rest stop.
When you are ready to call it a day, you will find that there are many campsites and RV parks along the way and deciding where to stop for the night is not a complicated decision.
A road trip through Northwest BC can truly be headache free and once you are here, you will quickly find that all you have to do is settle in and enjoy the ride.
